When you hear the name Jack Frost, the first thing you think about is probably not a Jack Frost Winter cocktail—although after reading this, it definitely will be.
Jack Frost is famous in folklore and tales all over the world. Sometimes he is the hero, and sometimes he’s a bit of a trickster, but he’s always been synonymous with winter weather. In Scandinavia, Jack Frost is the Norse god of wind. In Finland, he controls the temperature to make it ideal for the reindeer (what a legend!). He is even big in Japan and keeps frost and dew under control with his brother’s help. Most recently, Jack Frost is the protagonist in the DreamWorks animation Rise of the Guardians.
In our rendition of the Jack Frost story, he is a mischievous bright blue, frozen drink best enjoyed during a Christmas cocktail party with friends.
Jack Frost Winter Cocktail recipe
Pineapple and coconut are definitely the hero flavors in this Jack Frost drink recipe, and if it wasn’t such a bright blue color, you’d easily confuse the taste for a Piña Colada. It’s basically a Christmas cocktail that’s gone on holiday on a tropical island.
The Jack Frost Christmas drink is one of those easy winter cocktails that looks really hard to pull off but couldn’t be simpler to do. All you need is vodka or rum, pineapple juice, Blue Curaçao, coconut cream, corn syrup, ice, a decent blender, and good friends to get festive with.
